In the period, the northern city licensed 20 FDI totaling over US$1 billion and saw 18 operational projects increasing their capital by US$77.6 million. Up to 97% of the foreign investors are from Japan.
Some of the new projects include Bridgestone auto tire production project worth US$574.8 million, Nipro Pharma Viet Nam worth US$250 million, and Fuji Xerox Hai Phong worth US$119 million.
To lure more FDI, Hai Phong will continue to ensure quality human resources for projects, accelerate site clearance, provide information about vocational training to investors, among many solutions.
