Incentives for demobilized soldiers to study

VGP – Demobilized soldiers who want vocational training will be financed by the State, according to Decision 157/QĐ-TTg of the PM on credits for students.

October 13, 2009 10:21 PM GMT+7

The Government chief on Friday last week issued a decision on assistance to demobilized soldiers in learning a trade.

Under the decision, those who take courses at high school or college levels are provided with preferential loans to afford their study.

At the elementary level, they are granted with a "Vocational Card" having the maximum value equivalent to the benchmark salary for 12 months and the one-year validity.

The State will pay for training costs on the basis of the "Vocational Card," actual training costs and the certificate issued to the trainee.

The decision will come into effect on November 23, 2009.
