VGP - The 2012 Viet Nam International Agriculture Fair (VIAF), themed “Cooperating for Agricultural Development, Promoting Exports, Building the New Rural Areas Model” opens in Can Tho City on November 15.

The event is jointly organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development and Can Tho City’s People’s Committee.
The fair drew the attendance of 250 domestic and foreign businesses. The event is a trade promotion activity in terms of agriculture, forestry and aquaculture, introducing scientific achievements and new technologies, increasing value of agriculture’s brand name, pushing up export, stimulating consumption and promoting international and regional integration.
The fair, lasting till November 21, is expected to help the Mekong Delta exploit agricultural potential effectively and sustainably.
