VGP - The International Expo on Support Industries and Processing - Manufacturing (VIMEXPO) 2020 is taking place in Ha Noi.

Int’l expo on support industries, processing-manufacturing helds

The event was directed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, hosted by the Industry Agency and organised by C.I.S Viet Nam Advertising & Exhibition JSC.

The exhibition covers an area of about 5,000 square metres with nearly 250 booths from over 170 companies.

VIMEXPO 2020 introduced six target groups of supporting industries and achievements to domestic and international partners.

This exhibition the start point for Vietnamese manufacturers to strengthen joint ventures, networking, co-operation and sustainable development, as well as effectively participate in global supply chains.

With the goal of "Connecting for Development", VIMEXPO 2020 is an ideal meeting point for businesses, which contributes to concretise the Government's Resolution 115/NQ-CP on solutions to promote the development of supporting industries.

Addressing the opening ceremony, Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh said that amid global integration, the opportunities from free trade agreements lay an important foundation for Viet Nam to industrialise in a sustainable manner.

As part of the event, a business matching event  held  link supporting industry firms and purchasers such as Samsung, Canon, Thaco, Honda, Toyota, ABB, and Tung Lam.

In addition, the Ministry of Industry and Trade’s Viet Nam Industry Agency held two workshops on Viet Nam’s support industries-its potential and opportunities, and the opportunities and challenges its faces in participating in global supply chains./.
