Irish businesses confident in VN’s potential market

VGP – Enterprises from Ireland can tap great potentials of Việt Nam, a market of nearly 87 million consumers, high socio-economic stability and sustained economic growth despite the global financial crisis, said Deputy PM Hoàng Trung Hải at the business forum today.

Opened in Hà Nội on Monday, the Việt Nam–Ireland Business Forum places focus on the partnership among ICT companies of the two countries in order to introduce more ICT products and technologies to Việt Nam.

Giving an address at the event, Deputy PM Hoàng Trung Hải stated that, top Irish enterprises’ search for investment opportunities here proves the possibility to realize high-ranking cooperation agreements between the two countries, promising new depth and focus for the multifaceted relationship between Việt Nam and Ireland.

He assured that enterprises from Ireland can tap great potentials of Việt Nam, a market of nearly 87 million consumers, high socio-economic stability and sustained economic growth despite the global financial crisis.

In the field of ICT, Việt Nam is fast growing with 90 million phone subscribers, 21 million Internet users, an annual revenue of US $10.8 billion and 300,000 employees.

Ireland is the third largest software exporter in the world and many Irish enterprises are possessing first-grade technologies and products in such fields as telecommunication, mobile phone, financial services and Internet.

The Việt Nam–Ireland Business Forum is jointly held by the two governments every year, focusing on different topics.
