The second prize was awarded to France and China while host Da Nang-Vietnam and Canada finished the contest at third place.

At 8:20pm on April 30, a fireworks display with the message “Live the current moment” by the French team brightly lit up Da Nang’s sky in every color accompanied by cheers and shouts of many spectators.

Afterwards, the Italian team put in extravagant rainbow fireworks performance to the song August’s Rhapsody in C Major by Mark Mancina, bringing the event to a delightful finale.

This year’s competition kicked off on Sunday (April 29) with five participating teams from Canada, China, France, Italy and host Da Nang - Vietnam.

The contest, which first started in 2008, has attracted huge attention of tourists and TV viewers at home and abroad.
