Japan helps upgrade infrastructure in Nam Định
VGP - The Japanese Government has decided to give US $167,000 for the construction of a primary school and inter-hamlet roads in Nam Định Province.

It is part of a non-refundable aid granted by the Japanese Government to small-scale projects in Việt Nam in the 2009 fiscal year.
The first project worth of US $85,000 helps upgrade the 1.5-km inter-hamlet road in Minh Thuận Commune of Vụ Bản District to serve socio-economic development here.
Another sum of US $82,000 will benefit locals in Yên Tiến Commune of Ý Yên District through building a primary school.
Addressing a ceremony on Wednesday to take over the projects, representatives from these two localities pledged to use the aid efficiently.
According to Japanese Ambassador to Việt Nam Mitsuo Sakaba, in addition to large-scale projects, the government and people of Japan pay great attention to small-scale projects in Việt Nam.
Every year, the Japanese Government provides ODA to an average of 30 small-scale projects all over Việt Nam, focusing on building schools, clean water stations and rural roads as well as providing medical and construction equipment.
