The visit is taking place in the context that the Viet Nam-Japan relationship in general and the bilateral defense ties in particular have been continuously reinforced.

It is one of the specific activities to implement the agreements reached by leaders of the two nations with an aim to further deepen the bilateral defense partnership.

During its stay, the Japanese delegation of 87 officers and crew members, led by Colonel, Captain Hironnobu Tonozaki, will pay a courtesy call on authorities of the Da Nang Municipal People’s Committee, the High Command of Military Zone 5, the Marine Police Zone 2, and the navigation search and rescue center.

A sport exchange event will also be held to increase mutual understanding between Vietnamese and Japanese soldiers and sailors.

Vessel KOJIMA (IMO: 9034638, MMSI: 431138000) was built in 1993./.
