Japanese firms explore investment climate in Ha Nam province

VGP - Businesses of Japan’s Chiba prefecture joined a working session with the People’s Committee of the northern province of Ha Nam on November 20 to study the local investment environment.

Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee Truong Quoc Huy introduced the province’s potential and advantages as well as investment attraction policies and mechanisms.

He also informed his guests that Japan is now the second largest foreign investor of Ha Nam, with nearly 100 projects in various fields, contributing to the local socio-economic development.

Particularly, the province has dedicated Dong Van III supporting industrial park with favourable location and good infrastructure to attract businesses from Japan, Huy said.

Notably, the province has set up an office to support Japanese investors in administrative procedures.

The official went on to say that Ha Nam considers Japan a main partner in investment attraction. 

The Vice Chairman also highly evaluated the investment and cooperation capacity of Japanese enterprises and hoped more firms from the country will invest in Ha Nam.

In reply, General Director of Chiba’s Commerce, Industry and Labour Department Katsuaki Ishii hailed the investment environment in Ha Nam and said many Japanese companies are operating effectively in the province.

He added that, the delegation’s visit aims to explore investment climate in Viet Nam and Ha Nam province in particular, ading that many businesses of Chiba prefecture hope to invest in the province in the future./.
