Japanese preferential and IFAD credit agreements extended

VNGOVNet – Considering the proposal of the Ministry of Planning and Investment, on behalf of the PM, Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm agreed on December 14 to the extension of the Agreement to Borrow Preferential Credit from the Japanese Government coded VNV-7 till December 31, 2009.

Deputy PM Phạm Gia Khiêm ordered the Ministry of Finance to fulfill procedures required to make the extension possible.

On the same day, in Directive 7328/VPCP-QHQT, the Deputy PM also agreed the credit restructuring and extension of the Agreement to Borrow Credit from the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) till September 30, 2009 (one year more) for the Project to diversify rural incomes in Tuyên Quang Province. He assigned the Ministry of Finance to collaborate with the Tuyên Quang Province People’s Committee and other relevant agencies to negotiate with the IFAD on these revisions.
