The plant, with the total investment of US$98.9 million, will be built on an area of 10 ha.

It will produce around 9 million of blood containing bags per year and 1.2 million of automated one-time blood collection kits which can be exported to South Asia, Europe and the US.

The project is expected to come into operation in the second quarter of 2015.

It is the second project of Terumo Corporation in Viet Nam after the first one in Ha Noi, worth US$19.5 million.

The Long Duc Industrial Park has attracted investment from a number of Japanese investors, specially the investment of US$441 million from Lixil Corporation.
