Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh attends the event

A national videoconference was held by the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) in Ha Noi on December 24 to deploy key tasks of the justice sector in 2020, under the presence of Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Truong Hoa Binh and Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Uong Chu Luu.

Accordingly, the MoJ will heed the inspection and handling of documents within its jurisdiction, effectively implement the Prime Minister’s Directive No. 26 on strengthening the observance of administrative procedure laws and the enforcement of administrative judgments, and enhance State management in the fields of civil status, nationality, authentication, child adoption, registration for secured transactions, and state compensation.

In addition, the ministry will focus on tightening State management and improving the quality of public services in the field of judicial support; effectively implementing the project on renovating and enhancing the efficiency of law enforcement during 2018-2022; and accelerating legal cooperation with international partners across the bilateral, regional and global aspects.

As reported by the MoJ at the conference, in 2019, the ministry and the justice sector continued to renovate their direction and management work in accordance with the Government’s motto “Discipline, integrity, action, creativity, breakthrough and efficiency.”

Accordingly, the justice sector offered advice to the Party, the National Assembly and the Government in institutionalizing the Party’s guidelines and policies, while participating in summarizing and reviewing many resolutions and documents, thus formulating important arguments for the Party and State to set out guidelines and policies in the coming period.

In 2019, the MoJ finalized 125 tasks assigned by the Government and the PM and answered 124 petitions sent by voters to the NA meetings. Particularly, the ministry’s public administration reform (PAR) index rose by one place to third among 18 ministries and sectors.
