VGP- The Việt Nam-China Friendship Equipment and Tech Fair 2008 in Lạng Sơn Province (Techmart Lang Son 2008) will take place from August 31 to September 3, providing chances for researchers, managers, producers and distributors to display scientific and technological advances (STA), transfer and apply STA in manufacture and business, and upgrade the producing capacity in the border provinces of Việt Nam and China.

August 17, 2008 8:10 PM GMT+7

Techmart Lang Son 2008 under the motto “Alliance-Integration-Development” is jointly held by the Vietnamese Ministry of Science and Technology and the People’s Committee of Lạng Sơn Province.

Apart from regular activities, such as technology exhibition, purchase and transfer, the Techmart will cover some seminars on the expansion of the economic corridor Nanning-Lạng Sơn-Hà Nội-Hải Phòng and the cooperation between Vietnamese business circle and its Chinese partners. It is reported that Chinese participants to the event are all enterprises having great scientific and technological potentialities; many of them have succeeded in research and development activities with high socio-economic efficiency.

So far, the event has attracted around 100 stalls of China’s Guangxi Science and Technology Department, institutes and universities from Guangxi, Yunnan, Guangdong and various Chinese enterprises. About 200 Vietnamese companies will also present themselves at the Techmart.

It is expected that numerous contracts on technological transfer will be inked, especially in the agro-forestry field.
