Legislative body to start its 8th sitting on Wednesday
VGP – The 8th sitting session of the 12th National Assembly will open on October 20 and last for over one month, said Chairman of the NA Office Trần Đình Đàn.
At the press briefing this afternoon, Mr. Đàn said that the top law-makers
will decide many issues relating to the socio-economic development plan 2010–2011
and law-making work.
The NA deputies will ratify nine bills, one resolution and discuss nine other
bills. The bills to be ratified are those on Environment Protection Tax, Inspection
(revised), Administrative Procedures, Civil Servants, Consumer Rights
Protection, and the bills to amend and supplement the Law on Mineral, on Insurance
Business, on Securities, and on the Election of National Assembly Deputies and
People’s Council Members.
For the first time, the law-makers will give comments on the Party’s
documents, namely the Political Program on National Construction in the
Transitional Period to Socialism, the Political Report of the 10th Party
Central Committee, and the National Socio-economic Development Strategy (2011–2020).
The legislative body will also discuss the Government’s report on the
realization of socio-economic tasks in 2010; the socio-economic development
plan 2011; the report on State budget in 2010 and the budget allocation plan
for 2011.
