MIT approves 44 trade promotion plans
VGP – Minister Vũ Huy Hoàng of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIT) just approved 44 national plans and programs on trade promotion (stage 1) to be carried out by 21 enterprises in 2009.

Among the ratified programs, the MIT’s Department of Trade Promotion will implement 14 ones, Việt Nam Association of Seafood Export and Processing (VASEP) 5, Việt Nam Craft and Fine Arts Association (VIETCRAFT) 3 and the Việt Nam Leather & Footwear Association (LEFASO) 3.
A leader of the Department of Trade Promotion revealed that, in 2009, trade promotion activities will facilitate the accessibility of Việt Nam’s major exports to foreign importers. Local trade promotion agencies will be helped to improve their State management over trade promotion activities as well as assist local enterprises.
The MIT is designing a regime to renew trade promotion in order to boost up export.
