This is part of Viet Nam’s effort to link hand with other 130 countries in response to the world-scale event themed “Where we live-our plant-our responsibility.”

The campaign will contribute to efficiently exploit tourism resources and raise awareness of people in the province to effectively manage and protect sustainable natural resources and the environment, contributing to socio-economic development in the Central Highlands.

After the ceremony, participants worked together to clean the environment surrounding Xuan Huong Lake and school areas. Earlier on September 20, 2,700 trees were planted at Da Lat University.

At national level, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment urged ministries, sectors and central agencies, organizations, unions, and People’s Committees of provinces and cities organize practical activities.

Accordingly, everyone can join the campaign with simple acts such as recycling waste, limiting the use of plastic bags, saving electricity, gas, putting garbage in appropriate places, or participating in environmental sanitation activities around the area where we live.

The "Make the world cleaner" campaign was initiated by Australia in 1993 and the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP) launched it on a global scale, held the 3rd week of September every year./.
