The central coastal city of Đà Nẵng just approved the plan on building the grassroots network of cadres in charge of agriculture expansion and veterinary.

Under the plan, 11 communes of Hòa Vang District and Đà Nẵng City will receive 22 agriculture expansion and veterinary workers who will introduce scientific and technical advances in agricultural production and aquaculture.

Meanwhile, the northern province of Bắc Giang piloted the growing of five hybrid rice varieties on 20 ha in the districts of Lạng Giang, Việt Yên, Yên Dũng and Lục Nam.

These rice varieties can grow in a short time and have good resistance to coldness, pests and epidemics.

They have an average productivity of 8 tons per ha and a high quality.

All households involved in the project were partly financed in purchasing varieties and fertilizers as well as equipped with necessary instructions.
