Members of National Committee for ODA, preferential loans named
VGP – Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai has named members of the National Steering Committee for official development assistance and preferential loans.
The members include Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Cao Viet Sinh, Vice Chairman of the Office of Government Nguyen Huu Vu, Deputy Minister of Finance Truong Chi Trung, Deputy Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son, Deputy Governor of State Bank of Viet Nam Le Minh Hung, Deputy Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha, Deputy Transport Minister Nguyen Ngoc Dong, Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Tran Tuan Anh, Deputy Minister of Health Nguyen Thi Xuyen, Deputy Minister of Construction Nguyen Thanh Nghi, Deputy Minister of Education and Training Pham Manh Hung, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Hoang Van Thang, Vice Chairman of Ha Noi People’s Committee Nguyen Huy Tuong, and Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City Nguyen Huu Tien.
Earlier, Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung had signed Decision No. 216/QD-TTg on establishment of the National Steering Committee for official development assistance (ODA) and Preferential Loans.
Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai was appointed to be Head of the Committee and Minister of Planning and Investment to be Deputy Head.
The Committee is responsible for proposing to the Prime Minister orientations and policies to lure and use ODA and preferential loans in an effective manner.
It will also help the Prime Minister to coordinate relevant authorities and localities in preparing and carrying out programs and projects using ODA or preferential loans.
Moreover, it is assigned to collect feedback from Vietnamese agencies and sponsors, direct relevant agencies to complete management regulation, and streamline administrative procedures in ODA management and use to boost disbursement of the capital source./.
