Military of An Giang province provides free treatment to 1,000 poor Cambodians

VNGOVNet – A team of the An Giang Province Army Medical Corps paid a working visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia on December 16-17 to provide free medical checks-up and treatment for the poor there.

December 21, 2006 7:08 AM GMT+7

The team includes the representatives of the An Giang Province People’s Committee, the An Giang Province Military Command, doctors from the Hồ Chí Minh City University of Medicine and Pharmacy and volunteer doctors of the province. The team provided free medical examination and treatment in Oral District, Kampong Speu Province, where over 60% of the households suffer the frequent shortage of food and medicines. With a high sense of responsibility and despite travel difficulties, within one day, the team gave free medicines to over 1,000 people.

This act of charitableness has helped to cement the Vietnam-Cambodia unity and friendship.
