Ministerial and provincial websites make significant progress

VGP - The Ministry of Information and Communications has made known the rank of ministerial and local websites with a remark that they have made significant progress.

January 21, 2009 1:13 PM GMT+7

This is the second time websites of the ministries, sectors and localities were assessed.

Not only basing on traditional criteria of log-in rate and the number of online public services, the survey also exploited new ones, such as transparency, simplicity, information quality and volume.

Accordingly, the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Education and Training topped the list in terms of information volume. The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development was the champion in terms of number of public administrative services. Meanwhile, the Ministry of Justice ranked first in terms of log-in number.

The websites of Quảng Bình, Hà Nội and Đà Nẵng were the best ones in terms of information volume, public administrative services, number of loggers, respectively.

However, generally, Hồ Chí Minh City provides the best website.

The classification of websites of ministries, sectors and localities will not only help see through the quality of the websites but also improve State bodies' awareness of perfecting their websites. It also fully reflects the application of information technology in the State administrative bodies and speeds up the construction of e-government in Việt Nam.
