The rescue team comprises experts from the General Department of Preventive Medicine, the Health Environment Management Agency, the Administration of HIV/AIDS Control, the Pasteur Institute of Nha Trang, and the the Pasteur Institute of HCMC.

The new medical staff will cooperate with three special task forces on disease supervision, testing, and treatment which were dispatched to Da Nang on July 25.

The new force will be led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Nhu Duong, Deputy Director of the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology.

In addition, the MoH also mobilized hundreds of students from Da Nang University of Medical Technology and Pharmacy and the Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy.

In addition, ten ventilators and N95 masks were sent to hospitals in Da Nang and Hue.

Earlier, the MoH sent three special task teams to help Da Nang in the fight against Covid-19.

The special team members are Viet Nam's leading experts in epidemiological investigation, isolation, medical treatment and conducting tests for the deadly virus.

The epidemiological investigation team has seven members from the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, and it is headed by its Deputy Director Tran Nhu Duong.

Led by Deputy Director General of the Department of Management and Health Care  Nguyen Trong Khoa, the medical treatment team has 7 members, including three doctors from Ho Chi Minh City.

Meanwhile, the testing team consists of five members from the Vietnamese National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology, led by its Deputy Director Le Thi Quynh Mai. This team will help the city's CDC use made-in-Viet Nam Covid-19 test kits to conduct tests for coronavirus.

So far, Da Nang reported 34 locally transmitted cases from July 25-30.

Of the nine latest COVID-19 cases confirmed on early July 30, eight are residents in Da Nang./.
