As many as 1,917 Vietnamese citizens are repatriated from September 2-5.

So far, Viet Nam has organized 122 rescue flights to repatriate 35,215 citizens stranded abroad due to COVID-19.

The passengers included children under 18 years old, the elderly, the sick, stranded tourists, students who have finished their courses, and other disadvantaged cases.

Security, safety and disease prevention measures were seriously carried out during the flights.

Right after landing at local airports, all the passengers received check-ups and were sent to concentrated quarantine sites in line with current regulations on COVID-19 responses.

More flights are set to be arranged in the time ahead to repatriate Vietnamese citizens with disadvantaged circumstances, depending on their need and domestic quarantine capacity./.
