In late May and early June, the tra fish-raising areas of Vinh Hoan Company and NTACO Joint stock Company were certified by ASC.

In July, the fish-raising areas owned by Ben Tre of Hung Vuong Joint stock Company, by  Docifish Joint stock Company in Dong Thap and by Bien Dong Seafood Co. Ltd. in Can Thoi     began to be appraised using ASC procedures. The process is expected to complete by the end of August.

VASEP has said with the new certification, the Vietnamese tra fish industry will enjoy stronger competitive edge to maintain its market shares in major and potential markets.
