More transport routes to be upgraded

VGP - The PM has recently approved a plan to upgrade, construct and restore certain national highways and inter-district roads in Hà Nội, Thái Nguyên, Quảng Ninh, and Bến Tre, under BOT (build/operation/transfer) and BT (build/transfer) contracts.

May 07, 2010 11:29 AM GMT+7

The Government assigned the Sông Đà Corporations to take charge of upgrading the Hà Nội–Thái Nguyên section of National Highway 3, the Đại Dương Development Joint Stock Company to upgrade and restore the Uông Bí Town–Hạ Long City section of National Highway 18, and the People’s Committees of Bến Tre Province to complete the construction of the Thạnh Phú–Mỏ Cày Nam inter-district road which runs along the Cổ Chiên River.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of Transport is responsible for selecting qualified investors, collecting comments from related ministries, and directing investors in mapping out constructions plans.
