Multiple trading accounts allowed from Aug

VGP - Investors will be able to open more than one trading account, and buy and sell one code of securities during a single trading session, according to Chairman of the State Securities Commission (SSCV) Vũ Bằng.

These are new provisions stipulated in Circular 74 on securities transactions, issued yesterday by the Ministry of Finance.

There are also other provisions in the Circular, which pave the way for margin trading services. However, an appropriate margin ratio will be decided after the State Securities Commission consults opinions of stock brokerages, said Mr. Vũ Bằng.

The move is regarded as a driving force to scale up the operation of the domestic bourses and meet expectation of investors./.
