Ngan welcomed the two sides to actively maintain and uphold the annual mechanism, thus enhancing information exchange, promoting the effectiveness of cooperation and contributing to successfully realizing tasks assigned by the Party and Government in boosting Viet Nam-Laos special relationship. 

She supposed that the ministerial-level consultation, including the Foreign Ministerial Political Consultation will strengthen the two sides’ political trust, expressing thanks to the Lao FM for advocating Viet Nam to taking over the ASEAN Chairmanship and Chair of the 41st General Assembly of ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA 41). 

Ngan suggested the Vietnamese Ministry of Foreign Affairs continue training courses for Lao diplomatic staff. 

For his side, Saleaumxay Kommasith conveyed the congratulations of Chairwoman of the Lao National Assembly Pany Yathotou to the Vietnamese legislator. 

He said that his official visit to Viet Nam aims to exchange experience, particularly economic diplomacy activities. The diplomat congratulated Viet Nam on presiding over the ASEAN Chairmanship 2020, the Chair of AIPA 41, adding that Laos will do its utmost to support Viet Nam in successfully realizing its tasks.
