The report on the issue will be  presented by Deputy PM, FM Pham Binh Minh.
Chairman of the National Assembly (NA) Office Nguyen Hanh Phuc told  the press conference in Ha Noi on May 19.
The NA delegates will listen and discuss China’s illegal placement of its Haiyang Shiyou 981 oil rig in Viet Nam’s waters. The China's move violates the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea, the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea (DOC) and the declarations of the two nations' leaders.
The NA advocates dealing with conflicts in the East Sea by peaceful measures based on international law.
The deputies appreciated senators and representatives around the world for their reaction of supporting Viet Nam in protecting its sovereignty, Mr. Phuc added.
He declined that the NA has to adjust the country's socio-economic criteria for 2014 due to China's placement of Haiyang Shiyou 981 oil rig.
Mr. Phuc confirmed that the socio-economic development over the past four months still performed well.
He reported that a lot of businesses, which were affected by the wrongdoings during illegal protests against China's violation, have resumed their normal operation.
Mr. Phuc said that the deputies will discuss the socio-economic performance over the past months./.
