VGP – A Viet Nam Airlines flight carrying nearly 280 citizens from 24 European and African countries landed at the Van Don International Airport on Sunday, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The passengers include children aged below 18, the elderly, tourists, and workers with expired labor contracts and visa.

The same day, more than 230 citizens flew home from Thailand, added the ministry.

Earlier on August 1, 230 citizens flew home safe from the Republic of Korea, said the ministry.

To prevent transmission of Covid-19, precautious measures were implemented throughout the flights and all passengers were sent to centralized quarantine facilities.

Since April 10, Viet Nam has organized 78 rescue flights, bringing home 19,082 citizens stranded abroad due to Covid-19./.
