Nghệ An to receive €6 mil. for rural development
VGP – Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Nguyễn Bích Đạt and Luxembourg’s Ambassador Marc Ungeheuer today penned a protocol for the project on rural development in Nghệ An’s western part.

The €6,350,000 project will be granted by Luxembourg’s Government with €6 million.
Implemented for four years (2009-2013), the project will help improve local officials’ management over agriculture and forestry.
It will also stimulate active participation of locals and the community in socio-economic development.
The project is part of the cooperation program between Việt Nam and Luxembourg from 2006 to 2010, focusing on poverty reduction and sustainable development in some Việt Nam’s prioritized localities, including Nghệ An, Thừa Thiên-Huế, Cao Bằng, and Bắc Kạn.
