He arrived at International Airport in the central city of Da Nang on flight MI 632 and was then taken to Hospital 199 of the Ministry of Public Security on March 14.

So far, Viet Nam has reported 67 COVID-19 patients, of whom 16 had been cleared of the virus and exited hospitals and all the rest have been confirmed since March 6.

The current patients include 13 British nations, one German, one French, one Latvian, one Czech, and one Irish.

The Government of Viet Nam has deployed a string of measures to staunch the spread of the virus to Viet Nam.

In its latest move, the Government announced a decision on Tuesday to halt visa issuance to foreigners, starting from March 18.

In addition to the current quarantine measures, the Government also decided that all incoming travelers from the US, Europe and ASEAN countries shall be subject to centralized quarantine./.
