One more COVID-19 patient given all-clear, no new community infection over past 34 days

VGP – One more COVID-19 patient, who was positive again, has been cleared of the virus, raising the total recovered patients in Viet Nam to 264, making up 82%, according to the National Steering Committee for COVID-19 Prevention and Control.

The latest recovered case is patient numbered 92, who is a 21-year old Vietnamese man. He will continue to be medically monitored in the next 14 days.

Of the country's patient tally, 148 are imported cases who were sent to centralized quarantine camps upon their arrivals.

The current active cases (60) are being treated at eight medical facilities nationwide.

The sickest case is British pilot, known as patient 91, is being treated at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases in HCMC. He is getting better and has been tested negative for the virus for five times. He will be transfered to Cho Ray Hospital in HCMC for further treatment.

At present, 7,945 people are being quarantined, of whom 331 at hospitals, 5,181 at centralized quarantine camps, 2,417 at places of residence.

As of early May 20, the nation entered the 34 consecutive days without new community infection, according to the committee./.
