One more illegal entrant tested positive for Covid-19
VGP – Viet Nam confirmed 10 new Covid-19 cases on Monday, raising the patient tally to 1,451.
Specifically, patients numbered from 1,442 to 1,450 are Vietnamese repatriated from Russia on December 25.
They include eight men and one woman, aged between 26 and 50.
Patients 1,442-1,446 are being treated at the Hospital for Tropical Diseases while patients 1,447-1,450 are being treated at the Ninh Sim Clinic in the south central coastal province of Khanh Hoa.
Patient 1,451 is a 23-year-old man in District 5, Ho Chi Minh City.
On December 24, he and another man who was confirmed positive for Covid-19 on December 26 and became patient 1,440, illegally entered Viet Nam and went to Ho Chi Minh City.
Patient 1,451 is being treated at the Cu Chi field hospital in Ho Chi Minh City.
The same day, 15 patients were declared free of Covid-19, taking the total recoveries to 1,318.
The Ministry called on those who had been in close contact with patients 1,440 and 1,451 to immediately contact the nearest center for disease control for assistance.
