Over 60% people fancy Vietnamese products

VGP – Up to 62.3% of local residents in Ho Chi Minh City said that they prefer Vietnamese products, according to an opinion poll.

January 30, 2013 7:29 PM GMT+7

The news released at a meeting on January 29 to sum up three-year introduction of the campaign “Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese products.”

The campaign has brought back “practical benefits for domestic businesses to expand market shares,” said Mr. Duong Quang Ha, Chairman of the HCM City Fatherland Front.

It has also encouraged businesses to boost investment in creating high-quality products which are able to compete with imported goods.

Thanks to the campaign, local residents are further aware of low-cost commodities without clear origins.

The city set the targets that 100% of public agencies will buy made-in-Viet Nam products and 80% of customers will prioritize Vietnamese products./.
