Over 91% of businesses upbeat about production in H2

VGP – Up to 91.9% of enterprises were optimistic about their business performance in the second half of 2019, the General Statistics Office (GSO) reported.

Over 58.6% of enterprises predicted that their production output would increase. Meanwhile, 33.3% of others forecast stable production. Only 8.1% of respondents projected declining production.

In Q3, 2019, 89.4% of processing and manufacturing enterprises forecast that their production output would increase and keep stable in comparison with Q2, 2019. Specifically, 53.1% of enterprises forecast higher production and 36.3% of others projected stable production. Only 10.6% of enterprises forecast declining production. 

FDI sector was mostly optimistic about production as 91.1% of them forecast increasing and stable production. Up to 88.9% of non-State enterprises were upbeat about production. Meanwhile, 87.9% of SMEs turned bright eyes on business and production. 

In the second half, some industries were anticipated with high prospects of new contracts including electronic products, computers, and optical products (up 64%); leather and relevant products (up 62.3%), clothes (up 61.2%); automobile products (up 58.5%); rubber and plastic products (up 57.9%); medicines and pharmaceutical products (up 57.3%)./.
