Overseas Vietnamese engaging in IT activities in VN to purchase house and land easily

VNGOP – This is an important detail in the Government's Decree 71/2007/NĐ-CP stipulating and instructing the implementation of the Law on Information Technology. Accordingly, IT includes hardware, software and content industries.

Organizations and individuals are able to research, develop and make major IT products if they have proper professional standards, technical capacity, and solutions suitable to the programs on developing these products.

Those entities engaging in IT research and development will be prioritized with investment incentives as stipulated by laws. They are responsible for contributing to the State budget a part of their revenue from trading IT products. They are not allowed to transfer or sell State-invested information technologies without the agreement by the register agencies.

The Vietnamese State includes IT as a priority group in the State-funded programs for foregin training. The State will also facilitate the dispatch of Vietnamese software and digital information employees to work, study and practice abroad. Investors in IT production will enjoy preferential policies on tax and land use. Highest VAT and export tax incentives will be applied for their products.
