PM Chinh Nominates Deputy Prime Ministerial and Ministerial Candidates

VGP – Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on Wednesday submitted a list of Deputy Prime Ministerial and Ministerial candidates to the National Assembly.

Accordingly, Government Chief Inspector Le Minh Khai and Secretary of the Hai Phong Municipal Party Committee were nominated for Deputy Prime Ministers in the new Cabinet.

Both of them are currently members of the 13th-tenure Party Central Committee.

Meanwhile, ministerial candidates are:

Phan Van Giang, Politburo member, Chief of the General Staff of the Viet Nam People’s Army, Deputy Minister of National Defense was nominated for Minister of National Defense.

Bui Thanh Son, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Foreign Minister was nominated as Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Pham Thi Thanh Tra, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Home Affairs, Vice Chairwoman of the Party Central Committee’s Organization Commission was nominated as Minister of Home Affairs.

Ho Duc Phoc, member of the Party Central Committee, former State Auditor General was nominated for Minister of Finance.

Tran Van Son, member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Government Office was nominated as Minister-Chairman of the Government Office.

Le Minh Hoan, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development was nominated for Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

Nguyen Hong Dien, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Propagation and Education was nominated for Minister of Trade and Industry.

Nguyen Kim Son, member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Ha Noi-based Viet Nam National University was nominated for Minister of Education and Training.

Nguyen Van Hung, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism was nominated for Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Hau A Lenh, member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President cum Secretary General of the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee was nominated for Minister-Chairman of the Committee for Ethnic Minority Affairs.

Nguyen Thanh Nghi, member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Minister of Construction was nominated for Minister of Construction.

Doan Hong phong, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Nam Dinh Provincial Party Committee was nominated for Government Chief Inspector.

Earlier the same day, the National Assembly adopted a resolution on relieving Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung as well as 12 Cabinet members, during its ongoing 11th working session./.
