Talking to residents in Duy Ninh Commune, Quảng Ninh District, Quảng Bình Province, the PM showed his sympathy to sufferings of the local people and called them to highlight mutual assistance in overcoming difficulties, recovering production and daily activities.

PM Dũng stated that the Party and State would give relief to the victims.

He urged local authorities and relevant forces to seek for the missing people, repair damaged houses, secure necessities for all people, and prevent epidemics in flood-hit areas.

During the recent fatal floods, Quảng Bình has reported 59 people dead and missing, 45 injured, and a total material loss of nearly 1,300 billion.

Duy Ninh is one of the worst affected communes, where 99% of households were submerged.

So far, the provincial government has allocated VND 28.5 billion as emergency relief for the victims.
