PM Dũng meets top leaders of Cambodia

VGP – Vietnamese PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng, who is on a visit to the Kingdom of Cambodia, just has separate meetings with the host leaders, King Norodom Sihamoni, Senate President Samdech Chea Sim, and National Assembly Chairman Samdech Heng Samrin.

In these meetings, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng showed his delight to see significant developments of Cambodia over the past time.

He briefed the hosts about results of his talks with Cambodian PM Samdech Hun Sen. Accordingly, the two governments had agreed to lift the bilateral relationship to a new height in the interests of their respective peoples.

The Vietnamese PM stressed the necessity of consolidating solidarity, traditional friendship and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, so as to promote development in each country and contribute to peace, stability and cooperation in Southeast Asia and the world.

Talking to leaders of the Cambodian legislative bodies, PM Dũng highly praised their efforts to expand and strengthen all-round relationship between the two countries.

Pleased with the increasingly closer cooperation between the legislative bodies of the two countries, the PM strongly believed that these ties would further flourish in the future.

For their part, the Cambodian leaders all expressed their gratitude to the Government and people of Việt Nam for the latter’s support and assistance to Cambodia.

They congratulated Việt Nam’s recent considerable achievements and highly valued cooperation among localities along the Việt Nam–Cambodia borderline.

The hosts expected that the two governments would speed up border demarcation and landmark planting and complete the work by late 2012.
