At the reception, PM Dung lauded the outcomes of the talks between FM Wang Yi and Vietnamese FM Pham Binh Minh as contributing to strengthening the two countries’ relationship.

Viet Nam will do its utmost to work with China to further deepen their relations in a practical way, PM Dung asserted, proposing the two sides realize agreements, boost exchanges and comprehensive cooperation, especially in economics, trade and investment.

He said he expects the two countries will launch the five-year development plan for Viet Nam-China trade-economic cooperation efficiently and jointly develop potential fields such as infrastructure construction and road systems linking the two countries.

PM Dung asked the two sides to deal sea-related disputes on the basis of the Viet Nam-China agreement on basic principles guiding the settlement of sea-related issues, international law, especially the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea, and the spirit of the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the East Sea (DOC), working towards the building of a Code of Conduct (COC).

FM Wang Yi said he exchanged views FM Pham Binh Minh on the two nations’ relations, including measures to launch the Action Plan to realize Viet Nam-China comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership.
