The Vietnamese PM also proposed the UN Sectary General, who just attended the ASEAN-United Nations Summit, boost the One-UN initiative, actively address arising problems, and assist Việt Nam’s cooperation programs in response to climate change.

The PM said Việt Nam has actively participated in building up UN mechanisms, especially when the country was the non-permanent member of the UN Security Council in the 2008-2009 period.

The UN Sectary General said he wants Việt Nam to share with other nations its experience of realizing Millennium Development Goals. He confirmed that UN organizations will actively assist Việt Nam’s development and coping with climate change.
