In his meeting with Thai President of National Assembly Somsak Kiatsuranont, PM Dũng noted that the multi-faceted cooperation between Việt Nam and Thailand has made tremendous progress.

The Government chief affirmed Việt Nam’s consistent policy of attaching importance to expanding ties with Thailand, contributing to the development and prosperity of ASEAN.

He said he hoped both sides would continue to accelerate economic, trade and investment promotion activities, striving to lift up the bilateral trade volume to higher figures, and tighten cooperation in food production.

PM Dũng also suggested that the two countries as well as other members of the Mekong Commission should coordinate closely in exploiting resources of the Mekong river for common interests and sustainable development of the relevant nations.
