Visiting the National Defense Institute today, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng stressed that national defense and security is a very important cause of each country.

For Việt Nam, guaranteeing national defense and security is also an essential task which must be regularly carried out by the State, the entire political system and the whole people, said the Government chief.

It is necessary to closely combine economic development and national defense and security, so as to ensure that economic growth will help to sharpen national defense potential and strength, stated PM Dũng.

Praising the 32-year-old Institute as a leading national center for scientific research and training in defense and military art, the PM urged each and every staff of the Institute to spare no effort in fulfilling all their short and long-term assignments.
