PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng stressed that Vietnam is committed to speed up the installation of market economy institutions, deeper integrate itself into the international economy, realize its commitments to the World Trade Organization, facilitate the operation of enterprises, especially small and medium ones, expedite the transformation of State-run enterprises into joint stock companies, radically reform national administration; carry out judicial reform; focus resources on educational and training development; and resolutely fight against and eradicate corruption.

The PM asserted that Vietnam expects consultation and support from international friends, donors and the consulting group to maintain its annual growth rate of 7.5-8% in the five-year plan 2006-2010; better act on the issues of democracy and human rights; and ensure the people’s living conditions are constantly improved. The PM said the Vietnamese Government determines to make the best use of ODA for sustainable economic development. The PM showed his wish that the donors will support the Vietnamese Government in enforcing its law because the country’s law is built on the consensus of the whole people.
