PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng meets with Thủ Dầu Một constituency

VNGOVNet – In the afternoon of December 7, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng and Bình Dương Province’s National Assembly delegates had a meeting with voters in Thủ Dầu Một Town, Bình Dương Province.

The PM listened to and took note of voters’ opinions, ideas and aspirations about anti-corruption, fastening of the economic growth rate, administrative reform, poverty alleviation, and agricultural and rural development after Vietnam’s entry in WTO. The PM stressed that in 2007, the Government will further the administrative reform to build up a powerful contingent of officials and civil servants dedicated to serving people. This is one of the factors key to gaining the growth rate of 8.2-8.5% next year.

About the struggle against corruption and prodigality, PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng asserted that Vietnam’s Communist Party, State and Government have been showing their resolution to prevent and ease these negative phenomena through drastic, consistent and timely measures. The PM stressed that this fighting should be accompanied with enhanced administrative reform, construction of a healthy and powerful administration, and step-by-step salary reform.

The PM affirmed that during Vietnam’s international integration, especially after joining WTO, the Government will give priorities to the investments in infrastructure, science and technology, human resource training as well as encourage investors to do business in rural and remote areas. The Government and the PM are striving for the country to gain a high and sustainable economic growth rate in the coming years, maintained social stability and order, increased poverty alleviation, advancing towards the goals of wealthy people, powerful country and equal, democratic and civilized society.
