PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng receives Lao National Assembly Chairman Thongsing Thammavong
VNGOVNet – In the afternoon of November 21, at the head office of the Government, Prime Minister Nguyễn Tấn Dũng had a cordial reception to Chairman of the National Assembly of the People’s Democratic Republic of Laos Thongsinh Thammavong who is paying an official visit to Vietnam.

In the reception, Mr. Thongsinh Thammavong hailed the Vietnam National Assembly’s efforts in promoting democracy, exercising its rights to interpellation and supervision, and approving laws and codes quickly. He suggested that the two National Assemblies should further their observation over the implementation of agreements signed by the two governments.
PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng said that the Vietnamese Government is working to put the signed agreements in place. The PM assessed that the two countries’ economic and trade cooperation is developing well but not corresponding to potential and traditional friendship of the two countries. PM Nguyễn Tấn Dũng agreed with Lao NA Chairman Thongsinh Thammavong on promoting the operation of the Vietnam-Laos Intergovernmental Committee and strengthening communication between the two National Assemblies.
