“Each citizen, particularly businesses and units, including those abroad, can donate money, materials, physical power and ideas, depending on their abilities and regardless of age, social position and class,” the PM said at a March 17 ceremony held by the Viet Nam Fatherland Front Central Committee to launch a campaign “Nation joins hand to combat COVID-19.”

Over the past two months, COVID-19 has caused socio-economic decline and disturbances in psychology, the pace of life and employment, affecting every citizen and the peace of each country, the Government leader said, stating that the epidemic will continue to evolve in a more complicated manner and spread more widely, thus bringing more profound impacts on nations around the world.

Since the COVID-19 outbreak in Viet Nam, the country has taken effective control of infections in the community, while synchronously implementing prevention and control measures; thoroughly preventing, isolating, taking care of and treating the infection cases; and effectively boosting communication to raise the people’s vigilance and support.
