The Government chief reiterated the point at a meeting on COVID epidemic prevention and control in Ha Noi on Thursday morning.

The virus has spread to 49 countries and territories with total infection cases rising to 82,147, according to the Steering Committee for COVID-19 Epidemic Prevention and Control.

Meanwhile, in Viet Nam, the situation has been put under control with no new infection cases reported since February 12, said the Committee.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and airlines have widely informed about mandatory 14-day quarantine for travelers with travel records to affected areas in the Republic of Korea.

PM Phuc emphasized that containing the spread of the epidemic is the best solution now while asking competent authorities to create favorable conditions for quarantined people to lead normal life.

Regarding school reopening, Phuc tasked the Ministry of Education and Training to discuss with local authorities to handle this issue in the best possible manner./.
