PM Dung respectfully conveyed a memoir by former Vietnamese State Vice President Nguyen Thi Binh in French titled “Family, Friend and Nation” from the State Vice President to the Algerian President. The leader was deeply moved when receiving the gift from his close friend.

President Bouteflika said the traditional friendship between the two nations should be preserved and promoted.
He recalled his memories about land and people of Viet Nam during his visits to Viet Nam, saying that they would be always in his heart.

The President expressed his support to outcomes of the talks between the two PMs, as well as to Viet Nam’s stance in resolving peacefully disputes in the East Sea in accordance with international law, ensuring regional peace, stability and maritime security and safety.

After the meeting, PM Dung briefed the press on the meeting’s results.

The same day, PM Dung and his wife met with representatives from the Vietnamese community living and working in Algeria and staff of the Vietnamese Embassy in Algeria.

He asked the embassy’s staff to actively make contributions to enhancing the traditional friendship between Viet Nam and Algeria and suggest specific measures to boost relations in economics, trade, investment, culture and tourism.
