PM agrees to open university of natural resources and environment

VGP – The PM on Monday okayed the plan on establishing a Natural Resources and Environment University in Hà Nội.

The University will be upgraded from the Natural Resources and Environment College under the administration of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MoNRE).

Currently, the MoNRE is managing three colleges located in Hà Nội, Hồ Chí Minh City and the central region.

The Hà Nội Natural Resources and Environment College was founded on June 1, 2005, with 103 lecturers, including 3 PhDs and 30 MAs.

At present, the college is proud of a teaching contingent of 9 PhDs, 19 post-graduates, and 62 MAs. It plans to enroll 5,000 students this school year.

The college provides training courses in meteorology, water resource management, environment technique, environment management, land survey, marine geodesy, bio-environment and others.
