PM attends Kien Giang investment promotion conference

Under the title “Kien Giang – Potentials for investment opportunities and sustainable growth,” the conference drew the attendance of 500 representatives from ministries, Mekong Delta Region localities, international guests, and foreign promotion organizations. 

The conference will introduce and call on investors to seek opportunities in 118 projects on tourism (14 projects), high-tech farming (19 projects), and industry (17 projects).

This is the best time for foreign and domestic enterprises to Kien Giang as the local authorities have spared no effort  to perfect schemes, build mechanisms and preferential investment policies on the basis of common framework ad specialty of each locality; and reform administrative procedures. 

Kien Giang province has the largest natural area in the Mekong Delta region. It population ranked second out of 13 regional localities. 

Kien Giang has over 63,000 km2 of sea area which is tenfold of land area. The province shares a border line with Cambodia with 58 km of Ha Tien international border line and others. The province owns the best advantages for maritime economic development, border gate economy, connectivity of maritime transport, region, and Southeast Asian countries. 

In addition, Kien Giang has a large-scale delta with specific factors of water area. 

Chairman of Kien Giang provincial People’s Committee affirmed that the local authorities would stand by the business community and investors to implement the projects in Kien Giang./.
